The Brief
The primary challenge of this project was to create ads that not only highlighted the Scion cars but also captured the spirit of Inked Magazine—which is known for its bold, alternative culture and artistic, edgy vibe. The ads needed to appeal to Inked’s audience, combining automotive appeal with the lifestyle and fashion elements that resonate with tattoo culture and urban style.
Additionally, we had to recruit models who embodied the youthful, stylish image of the Scion brand and capture visuals that would stand out in a high-profile magazine like Inked.

Creative Concept Development
Model Recruitment & Photoshoot
We handled the recruitment of models who reflected the Scion target demographic—stylish, young, and connected to the tattoo culture represented in Inked Magazine. We worked with the models to showcase the Scion vehicles in dynamic and compelling poses that captured the essence of the car’s personality and its fit within the alternative lifestyle.
Photoshoot Management
Our team organized the photoshoot, selecting locations that highlighted the urban aesthetic of the cars, incorporating gritty cityscapes and artistic elements that complemented the Inked Magazine brand. We focused on capturing high-quality, edgy, and stylish images that would resonate with the magazine’s audience.
Design of Magazine Ads
Once the photos were captured, our designers crafted two custom print ads that combined stunning visuals with compelling messaging.
