If you’re feeling stuck at your 9 to 5 job and you end up often sitting at your desk, daydreaming how to start your own business, this is the article for you.
You heard that launching a company can be a complicated process requiring lots of hard work. But that doesn’t stop you from thinking about it day and night. Maybe you’re just unhappy with your current job.
Perhaps you’ve always dreamed of opening your own online shop or coaching business. Or maybe you just want to be your own boss so you can have more time and money to create change in your life.
Regardless of what your reason is, here are 10 signs that you may be seriously ready to start your own business:
1. You have always wanted to do something you enjoy.
There is an old saying, that when you do what you love, then you never have to work a day in your life. Many people who have succeeded have said something along those lines. Instead of merely thinking about doing something that makes you happy and content, take a leap of faith and pursue your own startup vision. When you follow your heart, everything else will fall into place.
2. You feel stuck at your job.
If you don’t really enjoy waking up each morning, then you’re probably not too happy in life. Getting a promotion or a different job, may bring temporary satisfaction, but deep within you the idea of an ordinary 9-to-5 job just make you squeak and does not excite you. Figure out whether you need to start your own venture or if you just need to do something different.
3. You are passionate.
All successful entrepreneurs and small business or start-up owners are truly passionate about what they do and will do everything in their power to turn their vision into a product or service for the rest of the world to enjoy. If there is a business concept that lingers in your thoughts that you’ve completely fallen in love with, perhaps you could turn it into a reality.
4. You feel a need to help people.
Should you feel a pounding desire to help others by providing a service or product, consider it a big sign you’re destined for starting a business. This desire to help people enhance their lives can keep you going during the highs and lows of running a new operation. I’ve found over the years that the strongest companies emerge from a wish to help others solve a problem.
5. You can’t stand being in the office.
If you love being out in nature and your current job keeps you in the office or you just feel unmotivated and restricted at your current workplace, you could set yourself free and work where you want to work: at your own company!
6. You want to set your own schedule.
Maybe you’re not really a morning person and your most productive period is from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. because you’re a night owl. Instead of being told which hours to work and when you are allowed to take breaks or a vacation, you could finally determine your own work schedule.
7. You’re tired of feeling blah.
It’s not uncommon to question your values about your carrer as well as your personal life. If you keep being passed over for that raise or you feel like you’ve hit a wall, maybe it’s time to start something on your own. Starting your own business venture will probably give you an immense sense of accomplishment.
8. You’re ready to live free.
For some time that inner heart-centered entrepreneur has been quietly nagging at you. Why not unleash it and set it free? And once you are free to do as you please, you may be surprised by how much happier you are.
9. You’re motivated.
You wake up every morning and do what’s needed. And you don’t always need something or someone to get you moving. This sense of self-motivation may be very beneficial and might steer to initiate and carry out a business launch.
10. You’re creative.
If you’re tired of watching everyone else have all the fun and you are not pleased with having your creative ideas go to waste, then maybe it’s time to get out there and express yourself by setting up the business you’ve always imagined.
